Over seven miles of trails open to hikers,
cyclists and horseback riders cross this 851-acre preserve, which is
also very popular among cross-country skiers. Canoes and rowboats can
be rented during the spring and summer at the namesake lake.
150-year-old oaks crown the preserve's mature upland woods, but the
large marsh of cattails and reeds in the center provides the one of the
better spots for a quiet stop.
