Select horses are for sale at 6666 Ranch at all times, we do not furnish a price list; every horse is sold as an individual, and each customer receives individual attention when choosing a horse. We do not price horses by email. If you would like to make an appointment to view our horses, please contact the ranch office.
The Quarter Horse operation at the Four Sixes consists of a state-of-the art horse breeding and veterinary facility at which 1,200-1,500 mares are bred annually from the ranch, performance, and racing quarter horse disciplines. The ultra-modern veterinary facility, which maintains a 95% conception rate, provides veterinary care for not only the Four Sixes horses, but also for horses owned by ranches and clients in the surrounding area. Two full-time veterinarians attend the operation, as well as several annual veterinary interns.
In addition to on-site breeding, some of the reproductive services offered by 6666 Ranch include embryo transfer, cooled transported and frozen semen mare management, and Sixes Direct, a cooled transported semen courier service that serves the Aubrey/Pilot Point and Weatherford areas of North Texas. The 6666 Ranch also offers frozen semen from most of its stallions to several continents, routinely keeping frozen semen available in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
MARE MANAGEMENT: We can have semen shipped to 6666 Ranch from other breeding farms. The contract fee is $250 per mare plus standard boarding, mare care, and shipping return of Equitainer.
EMBRYO TRANSFER SERVICES: We provide both on-site and cooled transported embryo transfer services at the 6666 Ranch. If a cooled transported embryo transfer is performed, the embryo(s) are shipped to Royal Vista Equine in Fort Collins, CO or Royal Vista Southwest in Purcell, OK.
The 6666 Supply House was built in the late 1800's to serve the growing number of employees on the 6666 Ranch, and in time became the old-fashioned general store that still functions today. In the old days, the supply house stocked tobacco, leather and tack, jeans, canned goods, sewing materials, tools, stove oil, milk, eggs and ammunition, among other necessary items. Many of these basic items are still stocked and purchased regularly from the Supply House by both 6666 Ranch employees and visitors.
In addition to staples, the 6666 Supply House now offers 6666 Ranch and other Old West collector items. If you get near Guthrie, Texas in your travels, the 6666 Supply House is one stop you will definitely want to make!
